My Journey Has Begun
So this is my first attempt at being a "blogger" and I have no idea what I'm really doing. Please be patient as you follow my journey with me; I promise, my blog will be cooler to follow towards the end of the semester than it is right now. Thanks for taking this journey with me and I look forward to following many of you on your journeys as well.

Podcasts
So for the last few weeks I have been checking out different podcasts on my iPhone while driving to some of the communities I work with (which is at least 90 minutes one way, so I can listen to quite a few). I have a found a few I like, but was pretty bummed when I tried to download an MPR podcast on my iPhone and it didn't work (it said something about it being over a certain size). I'm going to try it again when I know I have a good connection to the Internet and see if that makes a difference.

I wonder if it will work if you download it onto you computer and then sync with your phone?
ReplyDeleteHmm. Do you know the size of the file? Also, do you know if you were on wireless or if you were connected to a network when you attempted to download the podcast?

Jamison, yes, I was on wireless/ 3G on my iPhone and I believe the file was too big to download that way. I didn't have a way to connect to a network to download it. Helen, I'm sure it would work to download on my computer and sync with my iPhone, but I was on the road so didn't have my computer. I will try it and see how/ if it works.
ReplyDeleteThe one podcast that I downloaded I listened to while I was traveling for work to. I didn't have the adapter to listen to it through my caraudio at the time so it was a little bit of a pain to hold the phone close by my ear cause the audio was bad, but since then I have invested the tapedeck adapter thing and can hear the audio from my phone on the car speakers. I even did a phone call that way yesterday....that made me feel pretty cool. haha...
